The Look

This stuff looks craaaaazy.

I'm not an avid high-potency concentrates guy, but I do enjoy the look of this live resin.

It reminds me of congealed honey oil.

The Smell

Smells potently of OG Kush.

Bit of pine.

A pungent, earthy musk that is pretty noticeable in the air.

I like it.

The Flava

Tastes great in the bowl mixed with some flower.

I assume you'd typically burn this in a dab rig, and the flavours would be isolated and prominent.

However, even mixed into some flowers, this live resin adds a piney awesomeness to a bowl.

It opens up your airways and cleans out any mucous that may be hiding in your face holes.

The Feel

I didn't touch it with my fingers, but it crumbles nicely into a little ball when I scoop it up with a tiny spoon.

The Experience

This stuff will get you well baked.

Not a product I could use every day, nor throughout the day.

A little on the pricey side (around $45-50 bucks if I recall correctly). It lasts a long time, though, because you only need a tiny taste to get robust effects.

Significant #calming and #sleepy effects suitable for the evenings or weekends.

The Look

It looks like something you would scrape out of your kief catcher.

Hash? Maybe.

It's more like powder.

Perfect for sprinkling on Js and on top of bowls.

The tube-style container makes it super convenient to whip out and top anything with a little kief.

The Smell

Subtle earthy sweetness.

The Flava

Tastes great on top of a bowl or sprinkled in a J.

However, because I added it to other things, it was hard to isolate the flavours.

Nothing mind-blowing, but it tastes pretty good, and it burns well.

The Feel

Soft, powdery, and fine.

Definitely not something you'd want to spill because it would be hard to clean up.

The Experience

Overall, I'm satisfied with this Tantalus Labs product.

The containers make it super easy to carry around in your pocket (or purse, or satchel).

I bought it on sale from Rise Cannabis in View Royal, and it was around $25 a gram (or something like that.)

Significant #relaxation effects throughout the day.

The Look

This hash looks like a tiny hockey puck.

Very well-formed compared to the Top Leaf Bubble Hash, which seemed carelessly sprayed into the jar.

Nice colour.

The Smell

Smells #spicy and rich. Subtle aroma overall, but very pleasant.

The Flava

The aroma translates well into a robust spicy flavour.

I was adding it as a bowl topper in the bong, so it's hard to give an exact breakdown of the subtleties that are most certainly there.

Adds a great flavour kick to otherwise mediocre flower products.

The Feel

The hashy hockey puck is not rock hard.

It's pretty sticky and gooey when I first cracked the jar open. It became much more soft, malleable and crumbly after a day or two, which made it easy to add to Js or bowls without any intervention.

The Experience

Some of the best bubble hash I've sampled so far.

The Look

The folks at Good Buds have done it again with Mango Taffie.

These buds look delectable. It was (almost) a shame to grind them up.

Overall a very similar visual experience to Good Buds' Sapphire OG and I don't have any complaints.

No leaf. No unnecessary stem.

The Smell

A nostril expanding zestiness complements #sweet and #fruity aromas.

Nothing overtly mango-y, but compared to the Sapphire OG's funkadelic #cheesiness, this is on the other end of the olfactory spectrum.

It's light and bright while also retaining a pungent dankness.

No room in your house will be safe from the smell of these flowers when crushed in a grinder.

It'll have your place smelling like the Bomb.

The Flava

I was waiting for the “taffie” to show up at some point, and it does when you set it on fire!

It's got an interesting salty flavour to it that I'd describe as “thick,” and it burns great in a J from end to end.

The Feel

No complaints here.

It feels pretty sticky despite being packed in November of last year.

Good bud density and humidity levels remained acceptable thanks to the tight-ass seal on the glass jar.

The Experience

Apart from the steep price tag ($50-ish bucks after-tax), you really can't go wrong with Good Buds' good buds, it seems.

There are whispers of a price-drop happening down the line, and I would be happy to see that because more people should be smoking these buds over basically anything else.

It's a pleasure to roll up, it tastes and smells nice, and it's a buy, even at current prices.

The Look

I think this is the first time ever I've bought an eighth, and it was mostly one, bud. ONE BUD! Congrats. You've attained the unattainable.

Looks great! Very frosty ❄️ dense, yet spongy.

The buds definitely seem like they were handled with care.

The Smell

Super pungent aromas from these buds.

I immediately got a wave of sour lemons and then doused by acidic fuel-y goodness.

Smells fresh. Not a blade of dry grass in sight.

Considering this bud was packed in August 2020, I'm pretty impressed.

The Flava

Sweet and sour. Earthy and a bit floral.

It Burned really lovely in a J and didn't go out halfway through.

Very appealing taste.

The Feel

The buds feel sticky and spongy.

Great density and fluffs out really nicely in the grinder.

You know when bud is just at that absolutely perfect consistency, and it makes rolling a number a super pleasurable experience?

It's like that.

The Experience

I think I paid about 40-something bucks for this eighth, which I'd consider to be pretty high. However, the quality of the flowers definitely made it worth it to drop the extra 10-15 bucks.

Let's put it this way if I could pick some of this #flower up by the QP at legacy market prices. I'd do it.

The seal on the container was epic. Took a pair of car keys to break into the terpy wonderland contained within.

Significant #glue effects. Find a couch, kickback. You deserve it.

The Look

The first time I bought this hash, the Mood Ring folks already portioned it into two equal square pieces.

On the two other occasions, it was a single 1-gram piece which, for some reason, I prefer.

Once through the childproof ziplock packaging, you'll find the hash contained within a regular ol' mini baggie. Nice and convenient.

The #legacyhash is a beautiful bright golden colour with—slight green tint.

The Smell

Subtle spiciness. Not overly overpowering. Didn't rock my world.

The Flava

Tastes great on top of a bowl or sprinkled in a J.

Mostly mild earthy and spicy flavours.

Nothing mind-blowing, but it tastes as a classic bubble hash should, and it burns nicely.

The Feel

I'm going to assume this is a bubble hash based on the feel of it.

At first sight, I thought it would be hard and crispy to the touch; that was not the case. There have been a couple of other hash products I've tried that were almost too hard to crumble without significant effort or scissors.

The consistency of Mood Ring's Legacy Hashish is actually fantastic! Feels a bit like an underbaked shortbread cookie.

It is effortless to break off a little chunk with your fingers and crumble into a J without spillage or wastage.

The Experience

Mood Ring's Legacy Hashish provides an enjoyable experience overall that comes in at an acceptable price point (around $45 a gram).

It is handy, use-able, and portable.

My biggest gripe with some of the other hash products out there is the super-inconvenient packaging.

For example, the Top Leaf bubble hash includes a little jar... but no lid! Crazy.

Significant #painreduction effects throughout the day.

The Look

Beautiful, well-manicured buds that glisten with frosty trichomes.

There's an acceptable amount of stem and no leaf.

It looks as though Good Buds handled their buds with care during the entire cultivation and harvest process.

The Smell

Sapphire OG has an attractive aroma that I'd describe as very pungent.

When the jar is cracked open, you get a heavy hit of pine and an appealing earthiness I'd liken to cacao powder crossed with parmesan cheese.

Another nosedive into the jar (yes, it's a glass jar) would reveal a complex blend of zesty citrus fruits and fancy flowers.

Like enjoying a fresh citrus fruit for breakfast while admiring the bouquet, you bought for your significant other on Valentine's Day in the same room as you cooked last night's spaghetti dinner.

The Flava

Fresh pine for miles and miles and miles. Followed by the kushy

It really opens up the airways—no coughing or harshness.

The Feel

The buds feel sticky and fresh. Dense, but not rock hard.

Hats off to the dry/cure team over at #GoodBuds.

The Experience

A premium price tag (around $45-50) comes with a premium flower product that left me happy and relaxed.

The glass jar's design is pretty lovely too, albeit a little heavy to carry around in your jacket pocket. The tight seal between the jar and the peel-back kept the buds fresh.

Significant #relaxation effects, but it didn't make me tired or groggy.

The Look

Looks great overall and I'm diggin' that.

The buds aren't huge and there are no buds that stood out from the rest. I'd call the size “workable”.

Beautiful bright green buds with purple accents that I couldn't really capture in the photos without editing.

The Smell

Oh man, the smell is absolutely divine. It is very complex and very unique.

It smells heavy. Dense af. Sorta like diesel fuel that has spilled on some fresh earth.

There's a cheeky sweetness to it I am down with.

The name #Meatbreath really conjures up some interesting sensations in my mind, but the aroma of these buds puts that all to rest.

The Flava

I'll be honest, I get zero meaty flavour qualities from these buds. Not complaining.

It burns really nicely in a J.

The flavour is very much like the aroma. Lots of fuel and deep, earthy flavours.

The sweetness really becomes apparent from the first puff.

The Feel

Buds are spongy and dense. Really nice density.

Considering the packing date is October of last year, the moisture content of the buds was pretty good.

Sticky to the touch.

The Experience

A premium experience all-around... for a premium price.

IT's far too pricey to become something I would buy on a regular basis. $50-ish bucks an eight.

But, for those times when you want to treat yourself to something nice— I'd say it is definitely worth a try if you haven't tried it already.

Significant #calming effects, but it didn't make me sleepy.

Looks really, really clean.

Like wax.

The Smell

The aroma is sweet and earthy. Very pleasant. Not overpowering.

Like laying on your back in a spring field on a sunny day.

The Flava

It tastes so good. You could definitely melt this stuff in one of those hot plate bowls that's all the rage with the kids these days. I can't remember what they're called. Like, a dab bowl?

Either way, I want one because this Bubba Bubble melts, and the flavours are dense with plenty of earthy richness.

The Feel

The consistency is like wax but melts in your fingers like butter.

The Experience

Not the cheapest gram of hash on the market, but it's worth the extra dollars.

This becomes especially apparent when Top Leaf's quality is compared to The Batch's “quantity-over-quality” dry-sift play.

Significant #pain-reducing and #calming effects.
