The Look

Beautiful, well-manicured buds that glisten with frosty trichomes.

There's an acceptable amount of stem and no leaf.

It looks as though Good Buds handled their buds with care during the entire cultivation and harvest process.

The Smell

Sapphire OG has an attractive aroma that I'd describe as very pungent.

When the jar is cracked open, you get a heavy hit of pine and an appealing earthiness I'd liken to cacao powder crossed with parmesan cheese.

Another nosedive into the jar (yes, it's a glass jar) would reveal a complex blend of zesty citrus fruits and fancy flowers.

Like enjoying a fresh citrus fruit for breakfast while admiring the bouquet, you bought for your significant other on Valentine's Day in the same room as you cooked last night's spaghetti dinner.

The Flava

Fresh pine for miles and miles and miles. Followed by the kushy

It really opens up the airways—no coughing or harshness.

The Feel

The buds feel sticky and fresh. Dense, but not rock hard.

Hats off to the dry/cure team over at #GoodBuds.

The Experience

A premium price tag (around $45-50) comes with a premium flower product that left me happy and relaxed.

The glass jar's design is pretty lovely too, albeit a little heavy to carry around in your jacket pocket. The tight seal between the jar and the peel-back kept the buds fresh.

Significant #relaxation effects, but it didn't make me tired or groggy.

Overall: 🌲🌲🌲🌲/5 (bring that price down a smidge, get that 5th tree, and become the first 5-tree review.)

The Look

Looks great overall and I'm diggin' that.

The buds aren't huge and there are no buds that stood out from the rest. I'd call the size “workable”.

Beautiful bright green buds with purple accents that I couldn't really capture in the photos without editing.

The Smell

Oh man, the smell is absolutely divine. It is very complex and very unique.

It smells heavy. Dense af. Sorta like diesel fuel that has spilled on some fresh earth.

There's a cheeky sweetness to it I am down with.

The name #Meatbreath really conjures up some interesting sensations in my mind, but the aroma of these buds puts that all to rest.

The Flava

I'll be honest, I get zero meaty flavour qualities from these buds. Not complaining.

It burns really nicely in a J.

The flavour is very much like the aroma. Lots of fuel and deep, earthy flavours.

The sweetness really becomes apparent from the first puff.

The Feel

Buds are spongy and dense. Really nice density.

Considering the packing date is October of last year, the moisture content of the buds was pretty good.

Sticky to the touch.

The Experience

A premium experience all-around... for a premium price.

IT's far too pricey to become something I would buy on a regular basis. $50-ish bucks an eight.

But, for those times when you want to treat yourself to something nice— I'd say it is definitely worth a try if you haven't tried it already.

Significant #calming effects, but it didn't make me sleepy.

It's just so bad I don't know where to start. The words gag and yuck come to mind quite readily.

The buds look not too bad, but as soon as you try to get your other senses involved it's mostly downhill from there.

Dry and crispy to the touch despite being harvested very recently.

Very slight aroma mostly reminds me of laying down on your back in a field of tall grass and realizing you forgot your stash in the car...

Flavours can be described as harsh metallic with the halfway point of a reasonably sized J becoming pretty much unsmokable real quick.

And that's about as much time as I want to spend on this $40 something before tax Ignite/Cannmart abomination.

One tree just because it looks decent at first glance.

Couch lock Classic.

Namaste's take on Death Bubba is pretty decent. It's got a good nose

Like most other licit buds on the market, these were dry af, but Death Bubba always hits me hard right behind the eyes and takes me to the couch.

Even though this D. Bubba is missing a few letters, it isn't missing that heavy Death Bubba character.

Tested at just under 25% THC means Cherry Punch lives up to its name by delivering effects equivalent to a punch in the face. And, that's about it.

The buds are incredibly dry and very dense. Little aroma overall. There is definitely nothing in the terpene profile reminiscent of cherries, but not completely odourless either. Let's call it a subtly sweet tea scent and move on.

One thing that really stood out was the clear pockmarks from where seeds had been. On further inspection, I managed to find a few seeds still embedded in the closely shaved flowers.

It burns pretty decently, but the flavour is pretty abysmal. It burns the back of the throat on the inhale and leaves a hot spot back there which makes the next puff less enjoyable.

My workaround was to pop it in the bong and put it through some water which definitely improved the experience... and made me go cross-eyed.

Wedding Crasher is the second BLKMRKT product I've tried, the first being Cherry Punch.

Even though I've actually given it a lower tree count, I like Wedding Crasher more based on aroma alone.

The buds were just as dry as the Cherry Punch, but thankfully the aroma of Wedding Crasher was more pronounced.

These flowers offer a really unique fruity scent that smells like peaches.

I'm not entirely sure I've ever sampled another product with such a distinct peach scent quite like wedding Crasher.

Unfortunately, the aroma didn't translate into much flavour, which could only be described as “pretty harsh on the throat”. I'd describe it as metallic fruit...

Despite the metal, my grinder smelled like peaches for quite a while after I had ground the Wedding Crasher which was pleasant and because it's super dry it leaves a nice crusting of kief to scrape out later.

So, that's about the last good thing I can say about this BLKMRKT product because I found seeds and holes where seed used to be spread throughout these flowers, which is rather disappointing considering this is marketed as an “ultra-premium” product.

“Ultra-Premium” products simply cannot contain seeds, ever— there is no truer truth than this. I noticed one bud had a still seed sticking out of it. Yikes.

I can only assume they were hoping nobody was going to notice their buds look like volcanic rocks...

Overall, I thought the flower and the effects were okay, but the dryness and seeds really throw me off. BLKMRKT is heading in the right direction, but have quite a ways to go if it wants to establish itself as an ultra-premium brand.

Overall: 🌲🌲🌲 out of five.

Before starting this review I should point out that Blueberry is one of my least favorite cultivars, so hopefully, that bias won't be too apparent here.

So... another #Terrascend flower product on the rolling tray today and I had high hopes. Unfortunately, this #Blueberry #Kush is another swing-and-a-miss for me from this producer.

Visually it's not the worst looking flower I've seen.

Quite a bit of stem considering this is only a gram, but what can you do? Buds are shaved close like the other Terrascend products I've reviewed recently.

Still some leaves on there. Not that it's a terrible thing... but the leaves looked kind of yucky up close.

My nose wasn't all that impressed either... in fact, I almost found the smell of the plastic stronger than the smell of the buds. No Bueno! I put it through the grinder and the aroma got a little more kushy, but nothing to write home about.

I'd sum up the aroma as #grassy and #unprovocative.

Thankfully, it burns pretty clean in a J and didn't cause any significant coughing.

The flavour was a bit harsh and metallic tasting leaving the experience with very little character.

The buds are just way too dry.

I'm talking dusty powder dry :(

Terps are super important fellas!

There were also holes in a couple of the buds from where seeds used to live though I didn't find any actual seeds embedded in any of them.

If you're charging top dollar for your products there's just no reason at all why seeds should be in the finished product.

I've found seeds or seed holes in several Terrascend products, so there must be something going on over there to cause these plants to seed.

They still a way to go over at Terrascend before they really start pumping out quads on a regular basis.
